Our mission at The Legal Initiative is to increase access to legal knowledge for middle and high school students who are interested in law but don’t have the resources or exposure to pursue it. We believe the legal field shouldn’t feel intimidating or out of reach simply because a student doesn’t know where to start.  We work directly with schools, clubs, and community spaces to introduce students to the many paths within the legal world. Through workshops, mentorship, and conversations with lawyers, law students, professors, and judges, students learn practical skills such as how direct examinations work while also gaining a clearer understanding of the wide range of careers available in law. By bringing legal education and mentorship directly into classrooms, clubs, and local law offices, we aim to close the access gap and help students see that law is diverse, achievable, and something they can realistically pursue.
